It's an aged hotel with aged staff and very aged equipment, the hotel not even allow you to turn on lights/lamp in room which is ridiculous!! For the record, I asked staff, and the staff came to my room and told me the lights are forbid to turn on!!! location is good, you can see 松島海岸 from 露天風呂 The restaurant which open late is nice, but you surely can skip breakfast... Overall it's over-priced

Right next to Matushima bay this hotel gives a great view of it. The room I stayed in seems run down, but you can tell that it's been taken care of well. Staff was patient for a English only speaker.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel which is conveniently located. The staff were friendly and helpful. The facilities are good including a laundry. The meals included with our tariff were excellent. Generous and tasty. The rooms are tasteful and large and Matsushima is a lovely place to visit for 2or 3 days.
